If you are unable to attend a class please make sure you let us know within 24 hours of your class and we will give you credit to use on a Tuesday class within 2 weeks.
Please note that if minimum numbers are not reached the class will be cancelled you will have the option to transfer to another day or you will be fully refunded.
Restorative Yoga - the antidote to stress. These sessions focus on nourishing the parasympathetic nervous system so we can truly rest and digest. Expect to stay low to the ground, as most shapes are seated or laying down, with a major emphasis on comfort.
The raw space is not a Yoga studio. It's a space that invites you toreconnect with your body and soul in the most peaceful and grounding environment.
Join us at 6.00pm where you will be greeted with a refreshing drink. We've allowed 15 minutes for you to really ground yourself, take your time to connect in our beautiful gardens and relax into your class starting at 6.15pm.
Classes are 75minutes and incorporate Yoga asana (the postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) andmeditation.
Together we will be exploring the tradition of Yoga. It's not about fancy technical moves or what you are wearing, it is about allowing your body to be felt, and giving your inner voice the space to be heard. So often we go about our day not noticing pains, tightness , stiffness and aches in our body. Our body is trying to talk to us - this is a space to listen, learn, soothe and soften.
Erin runs her classes with pure soul, her words and council will guide you gently, with a few jokes thrown in to lighten the mood. You're invited to show up as you are - all abilities welcome. This is not a dedicated Yoga studio so please bring your own Yoga mat and any other props you like to practice with - blankets, bolster, cushions, blocks, eye pillow etc.
After a long hiatus from asana practice, I was feeling very self conscious about returning to a physical practice. You hold such a safe space in class that it was very easy to relax back into the physical practice. The exploration of the Yamas and Niyamas was an excellent, and very real, platform from which to explore asana in the body I currently find myself. Thank you for working your magic every week. I have loved the language you are using and the movement away from Yoga as "movement" or "shapes". I am loving learning more about the code of Yoga, and how to not be a dickhead. To taste this just before reaching in to the movement aspect has benefited the movement aspect greatly. CG, Perth
Your Facilitator: Erin Griffin I am a trauma informed Yoga teacher devoted to offering the 8 limbs of Yoga in a way that is inclusive, accessible and heartfelt. Yoga has been a life raft for me over the years and has supported me generously as I have navigated the pains and pleasures of being human. I am forever finding reasons to turn towards this ancient practice for my modern day challenges and can say without a shadow of doubt; practicing Yoga supports my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health on the daily.I so enjoy creating nurturing, welcoming environments for people of all abilities to access and explore this practice that continues to shape my life. I get some much joy from witnessing the impact of Yoga and embodiment practices on whole person health.
